Anonymous asked: Loving your comics! How do you come up with the ideas? Some feel very official (duh!) but it's always mixed with a bit of 'Tale spice'! I hope to see more!

m(_ _)m Thank you! ‘Tale spice’, haha, I’m really happy that you think so! (´∀`)

Umm… inspiration sparks, really! They usually don’t come with a conclusion, though! I found out that I’m really bad with scripts, so what I do is visual… brainstorming, I guess? Whatever I have in my mind, I scribble or write on a sheet of paper and continue from there. It’s much less restraining than trying to produce a cold script with only letters, brrr.

I brought out a few pages from my file - small resolution, because there are spoilers there (´Д`)

(Bell & Chime)

Hope this helped somehow!

hibikikun asked: hello tale-san~ I have some questions for you... what is your favorite media for drawing? (like watercolor, or digital). Because I've seen that besides digital art, you are also good when coloring with watercolor. you are so talented tale ^^ Thanks in advance

Hmm… it depends on what I’m aiming to do!

Watercolors -> concept sketches or when I simply feel like searching for new colours

Pencil, paper -> preferred media for any kind of sketching or drawing

Digital -> lots of things that make me want to throw my tablet across the room, there’s always that extra layer (read - computer screen) between my hand and the work itself, that frustrates me sometimes, but the pros overweight the cons!

Charcoal -> best for huge, bigger-than-life-sized stuff, since it leaves marks very easily and erasing it is a piece of cake

It’s not much at all, but the above is what I’m familiar with to a certain degree right now. My all favourite will always be the good old clicky pencil, nothing beats that! I’m planning on exploring more painting medias in the near future, gouache, tempera and the likes! Hope this answered somehow and… thank you! m(_ _)m

Title: Voice meme 401 plays

This is a meme that’s been going around and I found it funny, so yeah!

Sorry for the sudden entrance of my sister! ( ….. she answered me in English, huh… which means that was a totally intentional disturbance from her side…! >:| but the apples made everything okay. )

There might be some kind of a funny accent there - I’m really, really not confident in my verbal English :’D Thanks for listening and if you have the time, do it as well! It’s fun listening to other people!

Hetalia Axis Powers: Name Pronounciation Meme

I’ve always wondered how people pronounce the countries’ human names, especially the ones that are foreign, since they’re quite difficult to learn how to say them properly (well, for some). So, here’s a challenge for you guys, pronouncing the human names!

RULES:

1) No cheating (i.e. going on Hetalia Shoutwiki to check up the names)

2) No using Google Translate’s narrator (it works, trust me, I’ve tried it before)

3) Do not listen to others attempt at saying their names. It won’t be fair.

[trivia] About the new strips~!

Now that I finished editing them (Hitsu, Rachel, great job!), I can also put some of my own thoughts in!

  • For me, what killed it right away was the tweeting guy in America’s brigade. Himaruya breaking “historically-accurate” is always a hilarious sight… :’D
  • “So that is Mr. England…” - I feel like you can deduce a lot of things from this line, about the human’s views on the nations!
  • England’s adorable reaction to being recognized as a sibling. He tries to be considerate to America’s opposite opinion and tone it down with some blabbering, but you can still clearly see how happy he is about it. On the other side, America turns into mochi mode… I’d really like to know to whom the “You, what are you saying?” line was targetted… :’DD It sounded sort of pissed off to me.
  • “But those kind of things happen all the time to me, you know?” / “But those kind of things are pretty usual here, you know?” - The way England put it, it sounds like the fact that his colonies will forever hate him is completely normal for him already.
  • America loves trolling England. He still knows just what buttons he has to push…;;
  • …….. Did England just admit he’s “too old” in something…?
  • Will we be staying in Africa for the whole duration of character introductions, I wonder? It’d be awesome to see Japan and the rest of the Allies there as well…!

Toastmaster trivia! (aka America being a great MC is canon x1000)

You guys probably already know that the “official” objective of the Gakuen Hetalia game is to organize a party, right? (Well, it’s just a plot excuse to make Sey go around talking to all people, haha~)

At the end of the 30-days cycle, you can choose which student you want to fill in which party post - you have a Toastmaster (= MC), the one responsible for music, the food person and the furniture person.

The party event always starts with a speech from the Toastmaster. (And boy, I can tell you, it is HILARIOUS, no matter whom you choose. The Toastmaster’s job is to make the crowd all hyped up - and for example, our dearest England chooses to summon a few “AMAZING” fairy friends -> ends up filling the hall with dragons -> CHAOS. And remember that video with Russia MC ~~inconspicuously~~ making everyone drunk with vodka? Yes, yes.)

Obviously, the best choice for the Toastmaster post is America. So good that, if you choose Japan - therefore bore the whole hall to death with five minutes of his very thoroughly prepared spring poem speech - America will take over by stealing the mic! It’s sort of amazing to see him be honestly good at something for once.

Pointless post is pointless, just thoroughly indulging in the Halloween strips right now ~ <3

I have a folder on my computer called Inspiration. It’s filled with art or sceneries I’ve found online or offline that hold some kind of emotion for me. Whenever an art slump is imminent, going through this folder usually helps very much. I definitely recommend creating a collection of pieces that are precious to you, maybe write comments why you like them in the first place - just like you would with a scrapbook! Like that, you can observe a pattern in your own way of thinking - which is useful for many things, especially art-related!

(The art here are things I found from my favourite Hetalia artists - HobbyHobby, BLISS, the amazing Yuko and Der Erste Stern’s Yori.)

bionictree asked: How long does it take you to finish a piece?

Naturally, it depends! Most of the things nowadays are done between 1 to 5 hours. If it’s a piece that is really important though, they could take weeks to months, because I’m putting my full potential into them! That only happens once a year though lol I’m anticipating that my submission to the calendar will be one of those … orz;;
